Perilaku Komunikasi Dosen dan Mahasiswa UB dan UUM dalam Mencari Informasi Sebelum dan Selama Pandemi Covid-19
Abstract
Penyebaran covid-19 menyebabkan krisis global yang mengancam berbagai aspek, tidak terlepas sistem pendidikan. Perubahan perilaku mencari informasi ilmiah oleh dosen dan mahasiswa terkait pembelajaran menjadi referensi online. Oleh karena itu, tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui apakah situs perpustakaan universitas menjadi sumber utama yang dipilih oleh dosen dan mahasiswa dalam mencari informasi ilmiah sebelum dan selama pandemi, seberapa puaskah dosen dan mahasiswa dalam menggunakan informasi yang ditawarkan melalui website perpustakaan universitas dan bagaimana cara dosen dan mahasiswa berbagi informasi yang diperoleh dari website. Penelitian dilakukan dengan survei online menggunakan kuesioner dengan pemilihan responden melalui convenience sampling. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan komunikasi melalui online memegang peran vital dalam proses pembelajaran. Website menjadi sumber utama pencarian informasi ilmiah karena sebagai platform internet mampu mengadopsi jenis komunikasi massa dan komunikasi personal. Kemampuan adopsi ini yang menjadi faktor kemudahan bagi pengguna dalam keterbatasan interaksi sosial akibat pandemi. Penelitian memiliki keterbatasan dalam hal generalisasi yang tidak seimbang karena jumlah responden yang berbeda jauh. Selain itu, untuk penelitian lebih lanjut di waktu yang akan dating, perlu dilakukan penelitian uji korelasional atau uji pengaruh pada data-data yang telah ditemukan. Penelitian kualitatif juga dapat dilakukan untuk memverivikasi motif-motif para informan.
